CHI Selected for Inaugural Sacramento Countywide Nonprofit Partnership Initiative (SCNPI)
Sacramento, CA — June 2026 — Cottage Housing, Inc. is proud to be one of ten local nonprofits selected for the inaugural cohort of the Sacramento Countywide Nonprofit Partnership Initiative (SCNPI), a new capacity-building program led by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation in partnership with Sacramento County.
This prestigious initiative will provide CHI with targeted support to strengthen our internal systems — specifically succession planning, board governance, and staff development. These investments will help ensure that our healing communities at Quinn Cottages and Serna Village can continue delivering high-quality permanent supportive housing and wraparound services for years to come.
With housing retention rates of 95–97%, CHI serves approximately 300 individuals and families each year as they move from homelessness toward healthy self-sustainability. This capacity-building support will strengthen our organizational resilience so we can serve even more Sacramento neighbors effectively.
